non-verbal learning disorder (essentially means that the child has issues w/things that are nonverbal....facail expressions, give &take of conversation, action/consequense and reasoning skills....there is a big gap in there verbal and nonverbal IQ)
my 12yr old daughter has the reading rate/ spelling accuratacy of a college student but the socail and reasoning skills of an elementry schooler, major sensory issues, and anxiety. its difficult to diagnos from autism disorders untill the child is older but the frustration from the comprehension defict can cause major outbursts)
