Personally, I don't approve. I can't think why anybody would want to put their own needs before their child's. But that's just me.

I was going to be indued at 38 1/2 weeks with my first. Only reason was because my then Fiancee was only going to be home for 2 weeks and that was his only chance to see his daughter for almost a year. Looking back on it now I don't know if I would have changed my mind or not.

I dont approve either..but I know a ton of women who cant wait to be induced at 37-40 weeks   with absolutely nothing medically wrong with them they are just "tired of being pregnant"

I don't agree with it...but i've never been one to say whether i 'approve' of someones decisions or not.

What other people choose to do with their life doesn't matter to me, unless it directly affects me or my family.

Something else must have been going on for them to break your water, they wouldn't just do it to "induce" you.

Nah. You can be in full blown labor with a bulging bag of water. Sometimes it needs to be broken for you or docs will let you deliver the bag. Which is pretty cool.
