no need to stress out. even if you take it back and buy a car seat on it's own, and find a compatible stroller in a few weeks, you can do that.

Clearly I knew I was having a child. That's why I bought my original stroller at 5 months pregnant, until it broke and I had to take it back last week. I bought the eddie bauer one in a rush, took it home in a cab because my dad's car is broken right now and am going to have a smurfsmurf of a time getting anything to and from any store at this point and when I'm 39 weeks pregnant.

Canopy was messed up and the wheels were messed up when we put it together

im sorry but $295 is not a deal considering the stroller is crap!! if you are going to be using the car seat the most as the source of travel for your baby, then I'd consider getting a snap n go...and just getting a car seat separate. That way, later on when your baby is able to sit up, u can get a lightweight stroller that will last u longer than that Eddie Bauer one! Snap and Gos cost like $99 (CAD) and u can get a Safety 1st OnBoard Air Infant car seat for $199.

if u wanna stretch ur budget a bit more, u can get better things...itll save u lots of hassle!

What about the graco snugride? Is that compatable with most strollers or snap and gos? Ive read that its lightweight and highly rated. I seen the graco snugride at Canadian Tire for 140 which is less expensive than babies r us, but it just says "graco snugride infant seat" and no number (like 35/30) so Im wondering if it is worse quality or not compatable but I think it should be

eta- if I grab a carseat and the snap and go, is that okay for newborn since shes developing and they prefer them laying flat instead of being in a carseat for long periods ?? Maybe I should just get the graco snugride for now because reviews say its lightweight and compatable with lots of strollers

well what were u going to do, put your newborn in the Eddie Bauer stroller? It probably says u can use it from birth without the car seat, but its always better to wait at least three months...I prefer to put newborns in bassinets for the first six months. The difference in the Snugride 35/30 is not the quality, but the weight capacity. The Snugride 30 u can use till baby is 30 pounds, and the Snugride 35 is for a baby upto 35 pounds, for those really chunky kids...since now they recommend at least 2 years of rear facing. Some kids outgrow the height of the car seat before they hit 30 pounds, so I think worrying about whether its a 30 or 35 isnt really an issue. OR, if you want to save money, or if you're not gonna be using the car so much, why dont u just get a convertible car seat? That'll save u money in the long run, but it's only convenient if u use the car less. It just depends on your lifestyle, your budget. The Graco does fit on lots of strollers, and they have a snap n go as well. Personally I wouldnt let my baby sleep in a car seat outside of the car, but most people do it, so thats why I suggested it. I would always take my baby out of the car seat and lay him or her in the bassinet when I would go by car. But because I live in Germany, we barely use a car, mostly do walking. What is your budget exactly, and how often are you going to be using a car?

Probably using the car a lot. I went back to babies r us and I bought the baby trend expedition travel system. Really tired and actually thought my water may have broken today.. but I got the stroller and carseat.

I was stuck between that and the Graco montego that was going to go on sale tommorow for $250. But paid 395 for the babytrend because of the wheels, and I think it will be way easier to push in the wintertime because I walk a lot and take the bus when my parents aren't home. People have told me that the regular strollers are much harder to push through snow in the winter so I got the babytrend for the big wheels

Only thing is I looked up the reviews on the babytrend and people say that the front wheel wobbles (it's a jogger stroller) - but there is a way to fix it so thats good. I'll live with it and I think it will be a lifesaver in the snow
