If you had classical cesarean

posted 7th Nov
How long did you have to wait to TTC gian? My friend had a Classical cesarean a few months ago. Her baby has been in the NICU since birth. It is not looking good for this little one and they want to Tray again. Only her Dr said wait a year before ttc#2.

She wanted me to ask around on baby Gaga and find out if any one conceived before 12 months after a Classical? If you did how did it all work out. Thank you so much.

Thank you in advance for any advise

uh she needs to wait. the doctor says 1 year for a reason. and I find it kind of sad that they're already trying for another one, when the one they have is so sick and needs their attention

Well I had a regular low transverse I think they call it c section. But I think they advise for at least a year plus. Surgery is kinda a big deal, and I'd assume after an infant loss itd be wise to wait the recommended time for emotional and physical health's sake.

I was thinking the same thing. That poor baby is fighting for his life and they are concerned about trying for another one.

Wow... so she has a baby in the NICU and basically wants to give up on it and try to create another one? I find that incredibly sad and wrong. What if that baby does survive, he or she will probably need lots of care and therapies and such, I assume. And if the baby doesn't survive, God forbid, they are going to need to take time to heal emotionally.

I was thinking this too but didnt want to come off too insensitive.or judgemental, but honestly its kinda messed up. The baby is alive,.struggling but alive. Why replace him/her? focus on the ones you have....

There's a reason doctors said to wait twelve months. It is horrible to think she wants to replace the baby they already have.

She is just curious if 1 year is normal for that type of c section or if her dr is just playing it safe. She is a little older and feel she is running out of time.

i'm sure it's probably over a year for that type. I had a small transverse cut and was told to wait a year

Also, a c-section is major abdominal surgery. Not allowing her body time to physically heal puts her at greater risk for uterine rupture and other issues (like losing the baby) if she becomes pregnant again too soon. Her doctor recommended a year for a reason.

She is not replacing her baby! No one could ever replace her baby. She wants to add to her family sooner than 12 months if it is safe

It sounded like she wanted to replace the baby in the OP to me. It isn't safe, it could lead to uterine rupture or loss of the baby

While the baby she already has is so sick? That poor baby, I feel so sad for him to have such selfish parents.

She is not trying to replace her baby! She wants to have another. She was not planning on waiting a year and when the Dr told her that she was surprised. She asked me if I could ask around on baby Gaga because she is not a member. She said ask if 12 months is normal for this type of c section. man You are all so mean to think she would replace a human.
