re: BC that goes in your arm ?

The shot is horrible I bleed for 6 smurfing weeks and never got the shot again.
With my implanon i've only bleed a hand full of times for about 2 days.

I just called and the health department offers the implanon but I can't get it tomorrow (when my shot is due) I have to schedule another appt for it.

Do you use any back up BC?
we don't use condoms, or pull out.
and I'm scared that I could get pregnant on the implanon like that.

Nope never. TMI but DH just comes in me. I haven't gotten pregnant in the 2 years i've had it.

I've had mine for exactly 3 years. We have never used any back-up, not even pull out.

My doctor told me if you get Implanon inserted within the first 3 days of your period it is effective immediately. If its later or mid-cycle, you need back-up for 2 weeks.

lol well that is what they told me. When I decided I wanted to get it, they told me to call them when I started my period and then I could come in to have it inserted.

Well i haven't had a period on the shot in 9 months.
Iv'e been bleeding for 11 days now   its like light brown spotting one day and a bloody massacre the next. idk wtf is going on
