Nope, its the result of a spoiled child and nothing more. I may only be a friend. But a friend who is around 24/7 with the mother and the child. No stress, no bullying. This child is the first to say if another child is mean.

This is a child who makes her mother apologize to her if she tells her "no" to something, she will tell her mom she is mean and is being a bully cause she is not allowed to have that candy before dinner. So what does her mom do, apologizes for being to her and gives her what she wants. Its all about letting this child get what she wants and nothing more.

When at school she cant have what she wants when she wants, so she dislikes school. But loves doing the work, no issues with that. No mental illness, and ni issues with attachment to the mother at all. She spends Thursday through Sunday at her Grandmas house and that 1 friday she does the same thing. Its all about being spoiled.

I have a cousin like this. She's in high school now but she's always fine on the weekend and sick during the week. She's missed so much school every school year. Her mom and dad are divorced and her father gives her everything. A couple of years the police have came to her house and threatened her mom and dad with fines and jail time if she missed anymore school.

The mom is just exasperated because her daughter chews on her until she gives in.

Well my friend is devistaed or tired of it tho, not one bit. lol

Dont get me wrong she is a very good mother, lol but it being her first and only child, it was not till recently dd is 7 that she realized all the spoiling became a problem and is trying to unspoil her lol

But my friend worries too much about what others think of here, and she knows her dd wil complain all day long and the school will call home saying she is sick, so she keeps her home.

Her if a child is not homed schooled legally, and is under 16 and they are not enrolled the parents get fined $100.00 a day. (It happened with my brother and me when we were in school) lol as far as I know its still the same.

But I warned her the school can call CAS on her if they think something is going on, and I think they have not called because she is a good smart kid who always hands in her missed work ontime etc....If she was my kid her ass would be in school everyday, unless ferish and vomitting lol

Last yr my 10 yr old missed 3 days of school the whole year and no lates, this year its only been 2 missed days she had the flu.

I would pick my kid up but not let them play games, they would be stuck in bed all day or stuck at my MIL's house, not fun lol

Then maybe have a talk with the counselor. My brother did this growing up. He hated school so much he would pretend to be sick and even in the 5th grade he would have to be carried out of the car and into the school. Didn't know why he hated school so much. The principal even cared so much as to try and talk to him to see what was wrong and help my mom carry him into the school. Most days he did his school work in the counselors office. He doesn't even remember now why he did it or why he hated school. I do know he has very high anxiety, maybe he did then too?

This. I had issues... I had to escape school. I was in the nurses room a lot. A stupid teacher said it was my "second home."

I would pick her up and talk and see whats going on.
