the worst parent

Does anybody ever feel like a terrible parent?? Just this year i've been told that i need to have my daughter taken away from me from both of my parents. I'm not doing anything wrong. i don't do drugs drink or party she's always with me, goes to the doctor when she's supposed to, is clothed appropriately and fed regularly. i've gone through a divorce this year and lost my dads side of the family so excuse me if i haven't been parent of the year. i've been extremely depressed and haven't done much at all with her this year which i do feel bad about. I"m having the hardest time coping with this because i never ever thought in a million that i'd hear somebody say that i should have my child taken away from me...and by my parents to say the least

I know that feeling.  

Last year when I was pregnant with my youngest and was planning to place him for adoption my grandmother told me that after him I should get my tubes tied. Then a couple weeks before he was born my ex stood in my house yelled and screamed at me that I was a smurf parent that cant keep any of her kids. And I am a baby killer and his wife is a better parent because she keeps all of her kids. [My oldest sons father]

She's not taken from me. both of my parents said she should be taken from me. I'm 22

That is so rude. Most people don't understand depression. :/

I'm sorry this has happened to you! I've had some stuff happen to me but mine doesn't go to that level. My friends, who are parents, smoke weed in front of their kids or goesparties every weekend its uunbelievable!!

if you know you are depressed and haven't done much with her, you really should get some help. it's crappy of them to say that to you. keep your head up.

I am getting help. i'm starting counseling today and i've taken anti-depressants (they didn't work)

try a different one. i had to try a bunch of them before i found one that worked, and i was put on something for anxiety too. eventually i stopped the anti-depressant and just took the anxiety pills and that worked even better for me.
