One faint positive and 2 negatives?

Hey everyone! So I'm having a real problem and don't know what is going on. I took a First Response hpt yesterday afternoon and got a very faint positive. The line was definitely there just very light (my best friend even looked at the test and saw the same thing so I know I'm not crazy!). I was in denial so I decided to take another test by the same company later on that night and it was negative. I took one last test this morning when I first woke up and same thing, negative. Could the first test have been wrong or is my body just not producing enough of the HCG hormone? My period was due yesterday and obviously never came, my breasts have grown noticeably in size but not sore and I had minor cramps all day yesterday but so far none today. Please someone let me know what you think? I hate waiting so I'm hoping someone can give me an idea =]

I would give it a few more days and test again with your morning urine because the HCG might not be strong enough. i hope it happens for you hugs!

Your hormone levels are strongest with the first morning urine test then. It could have been a false positive did you let the test sit to long that could cause a false positive

i know how you feel hun, sorry no help though, im in the same boat, been testing since the 13th october ive had 4 positives (1 of them was this morning) the rest negatives plus a negative blood test (30th october) so im still in the dark so watching this post

faint positive's are extremely rare but when i got my positive i was in denial too! lol

You're probably early in pregnancy. You get the best results using FMU.


ETA: I meant to say, try again in a few days if AF doesn't show.

That is what I keep trying to tell myself but I have had this happen to me before. My period would be a day or two late and I would go crazy buying tests because I was convinced that "this time was it" just to have my period come and leave me broke and upset lol. Although all those other times I never had a faint positive so we shall see what happens. I have had no more of those minor cramps I was getting last night and after I posted my question I ate some breakfast ... well tried to at least before I started feeling sick after only three bites. I just don't want to be feeling this way because my mind is playing games with me. But I will definitely keep you guys posted. I think I will wait until Friday to test again!

I would say the positive cancels out the two negatives; it might just have been that when you took those two, your urine wasn't concentrated enough. But you won't get a false positive unless you're taking HcG or something.

Definitely not taking any hormone pills and my period is late. I would think the one faint positive would cancel out the two negatives but only time will tell. I just hope that one faint positive wasn't like a "ghost line" or an "evaporation line" because it was a pretty faint line but my friend did see it as well. Ugh ... I hate waiting!

As long as it was within the 10 minute window, it's good! I would consider it positive

I hate waiting too! Im in the same boat. Ive been getting faint positives on dollar store tests but than this morning I used a Answer Pregnancy Test Early Result and got a negative...used the same urine and got my faint pos on the DS test.

But I also just started bleeding Tuesday morning after being 9 days or so late :/ Im 16 dpo.

Luckily I have an appointment tomorrow after work so hopefully can get a quant blood test!

was the line PINK?

First response are known for indented antibody strips, ive had a test that looke dlike 2 clear lines, but the 2nd line had no color and was clearly antibody strip

Well good luck hun! I still have no period ... so far. I have to see what the rest of the day brings. If it doesn't come by the end of today then I know that I have a pretty good idea seeing today would technically make day 28 of an average cycle and my cycles are usually 26. I want to take a test but I am going to hold out and wait.
