I started feeling mthe urge to push at like 7cm. I'm sure there is a reason your doctor told you to wait. You'll be fine! You did it before, you can do it again.

If you're not at 10 cm, they don't want you to push. You can tear your cervix.

Haha....pushing would have been a non-option with my last delivery.

I remember saying "I need to push....OK, my body is pushing without me".

Everything went into autopilot.

i hated when they told me that. I was completely dialted and enfaced but it was 8am and the doctor wasnt there yet but my epidural didnt work at all so i was in so much pain. Finally the nurses decided they were just gonna deliever him and thank god they did. My son was faced down instead of up and the cord was wrapped around his neck. He came out so blue and was barely breathing at all the nurses told me if he was in there much longer he probably wouldnt have made it. I was very thankful that my epidural didnt work and i knew when i had to push cause my lo might not be here with me right now

I told SO I felt like I had to push. He got the nurse and they brought their table in, then walked out. Didn't check me or anything. It was OVERWHELMING. I had to tighten every muscle in my body during the contractions for the next 20 minutes so I wouldn't push. I finally screamed I couldn't do it anymore, because my whole body was hurting. SO went to tell the Nurses again and they said "I'm not delivering the baby, the Doctor does that." SO grabbed "my" Nurse by the arm and pulled her in the room. He lifted my sheet and LO was already coming out without me pushing. If you need to push, they NEED to check and see. SO pretty much ended up delivering our daughter.

I progressed super fast with my son and was in the hospital less than an hr. It was 12:45 am when I arrived and no one else was there so they had to call my midwife in.

Meanwhile I was fully dilated and baby's head was partway out along with my intact bag of waters. The nurse had placed a towel over baby's head and. The pressure was insane!

So when I was delivering my daughter I made up my mind that when it was time to push I was pushing!

They broke my water at 2:10 and I went from 5cm to 6 1/2cm. It didnt take too long to feel the pressure and I told my nurse it was time to push. She didnt even check and told me it was too soon.

I waited through two more contractions and then very calmly said "look lady. I am pushing this kid out with or without you and that midwife!"

She checked, ran to get Katy, I pushed 3 times, and baby was hete at 2:46!!!

Ignore their asses. I was told rhat twice. The third time my husband was asking me to wait for the midwife to get to the house lol. I couldn't wait any of the three times.

If they arent prepared to catch baby, catch baby yourself. ;-) it is awesome. Husband caught baby last time bc I could not hold him in.
