ugh

Im exhausted DS had had horrrible dreams all night and woke up every 20 minutes screaming, not to mention he would sleep in his crib so even if i did go to sleep i wasnt sleeping very good. i just want to sleep for the next 2 days and id be good. and now at 6 AM he is WIDE AWAKE. And i feel like my eyes are about to fall outta their sockets.

I love my son, but i really wish he would let mommy sleep.

Honestly i think hes going through a growth spurt because he has been eating ALOT lately.

I heard as a general rule they go through growth spurts around the same time they get shots. So far thats proven true for DS. I know that probably doesnt offer you any help but yeah...

Yep sounds right for a growth spurt. They usually have them every three months the first year, every six months the second, then once every year until puberty. My niece was really cranky and tired and hungry around those times. She also had colic so we couldn't find anything to make her happy. I would try extra feedings or keeping him up as much as possible for as long as possible during the day to help him sleep longer during the night.

He's sooo little, sounds totally normal. I first thought you were talking about a 4 yr old or something *shrugs*

growth spurts
milestones
teething
exposure to germs/sickness
cognitive spurts
change in routine
new foods
allergies

There are so many reasons for night waking, ontop of the fact it's normal for infants in the first year just for basic nutrition and hormonal and sensory regulation.

but every 20 minutes? I wasnt joking. he literally woke up screaming every 20 minutes then as soon as i would pick him up after a few seconds hed fall back asleep. he never has a problem sleeping or sleeping in his crib ever!

My daughter is 5 weeks and like this all night. I'm up with her all the time, with no help from her father (I know other babies begin to sleep at night, my daughter just hasn't).
I just got used to it

my lo is 2 months old and wont take longer than 20 min naps during the day but im thankful he sleeps pretty good a night but dont try to keep him up as much as possible during the day cause he will just get overtired and cranky and wont go to sleep than. have you tried maybe gas drops or gripe water cause he might be gassy or he might be teething so try some teething tablets. At 3 months it can be several different things on why he wont sleep

i dont try to keep him up during the day, hell be up for an hour or so then take a nap (or hes suppose to, lately he hasnt been wanting to) then we put him down for the night around 11 when he wakes up the last time to eat, then he usually sleeps untill between 4 and 5 then hell go back to sleep and sleep till between 6 and 7. lately hes been waking up between 5 and 6 in the morning and not napping during the day and not wanting to sleep in his crib, ive tried gripe water and gas drops, we dont think hes teething because hes not acting any different, just drooling more, but hes not cranky during the day at all.
