Being a post whore but oh well

Should SO and I have another baby shower or do something like small get together at a restaurant that way no feels obligated to purchase anything for the baby. I am asking now because my best friend kinda wants to throw me one. We don't need very much mainly will just need clothes but I mean we can afford that. What do you think?

Personally I'd just have a little get together - no presents required.. yet appreciated ;) that's what I'm considering.. This is my 3rd. My friend wants to throw me one..
That way it's not a 'shower' per se, just a celebration  

I wouldn't throw myself any kind of baby showerish party.... it seems tacky to me.

Let your friend do it.

My co workers surprised me with a pizza party shower masked as a Christmas party last year for my second baby. It was perfect. If it's not about gifts, just let people do what they want to do for you. You don't need to throw yourself one  

Have a little celebration party, let everyone know that it's definitely not a shower, and it's just a get together to celebrate your new LO's life. Tell them gifts are completely unnecessary but if they WANT to, they can. [cuz EVERYONE loves buying baby clothes lol  ]

Have a Sprinkle, as opposed to a full blown shower if she wants to throw you one.

This is our 4th and if its a boy we have more than we will need. My BFF has boy clothes from newbie to 5T an SIL has 3-12 months. What about a get together after LO is born that way I won't have to have my home spotlessnfornunexpected visitors they can eat and see the baby all at once.

I'm the same way, I have soo much boy stuff from my 2 boys but this one's a girl so now all my friends who had girls are unloading their storage bins on me! lol.

Well great minds think alike. I was just thinking because the beastie was asking and with my 2nd my mom and MIL surprised us. So, I just want to let them know beforehand that way they can still send out invites and phone calls and let everyone know its not a shower. I mean they can do so I won't really have the time but just would rather let them know this is what we want.

Yeah, same here. My best friend was wanting to do one for me because it's my first girl but I feel greedy having a shower when I don't need it. I just figure, if they come over to hang out and meet baby, there is no obligation, but if they bring a present, all is good lol
I'll probably just tell everyone 'hey come over on March ____, just a few days after baby comes home and come meet her! snacks and drinks provided, presents not necessary!' lol

Lets say we choose a place like buffet or something shout they pay for their own meal or easier to do it at my home or somewhere like that?

Depends on how many you're inviting.. My hubby's family is HUGE so we'll do ours at our house, and blame the mess on my c-section recovery and my two boys ;) lol!

Great idea and hopefully get someone to help clean up since we can't bend or anything (also having a c section).
