child support?

Can i still get child support if i dont put the baby daddy on the birth certificate?

If they do a DNA test. I know KY is weird. Whoever is on the bc has to pay without contest to DNA. They can have a test done before court but they'd still pay just not as much.

yea but not before you guys take a test because he's not acknowledging paternity.

My Brothers baby momma had to have 2 DNA test before they awarded his baby momma child support. They live in Tx.

Yep the Child Support office will ask the man you are naming as father to do a DNA and depending on the state the fathers name doesnt have to be placed on the BC.

One is done by the state the other they have to privately pay for to make sure both test came out with the same percentage. The private one gives you $$ back if it was the same as the state. I don't know I know it took her like 6 months to get everything back and court date. Maybe because the state of TX has had screw ups before.

I know when SO and I split 2 yrs ago and he was paying me child support they didn't give him the chane or ask for a test because he signed the bc. That's in KY

normally if they sign the bc they wont give them a chance. some times they will though!!! smh

Well they asked he wanted to challenge our son only since I was 16 when I had him. But he denied and paid. He still pays now even since we about to get married in July though he puts in their savings account. Which is fine by me.

So if i put him on it but he doesnt sign it? bc i doubt he will even come to the hospital he hasnt been around this whole time not even asked about the baby.

soon as the baby born go file and the will offer him a test. dont worry about it. In Philly they make them pay from the 1st day you file, hopefully it's the same where you are
