fever, low blood pressure, etc anyone a nurse?

ok so the past few days, i've been feeling sick. yesterday while at the groceyr store, we took our blood pressures in the blood pressure machine and mine was 73/80. i thought that the machine was broken or something. My normal is about 113/90 ish. well today i woke up feeling light headed and anytime i move,i feel like i am going to pass out. I cant hardly walk ina straight line and after hacving hot flashes and chills all day, i took my temp. my fever is almost 101 and not dropping. I've only had a fever once in my life and i usually never get them when sick. I've also been having ringing in my ears, and a migraine everyday for the past 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone is a nurse on here or anyone delt with the same thing and know if it is dangerous? My 2 month old just spen last week in the hospital with a high fever and they never determined what it was. I wanna get opinions before i run to the er. I really dont want to take my kiddo and expose him to all the germs there. ive also experienced blurred vision. Im 11 weeks PP if that contributes toanything.

I am willing to bet that, that machine was broken. I have never seen a 73/80 blood pressure.
I suggest you lay down flat and put your feet up, your brain needs the blood.
I would call someone to come watch your LO and go in and get checked.

i will try that. my husbands blood pressure was fine on it though.

If ur dehydrated it can cause ur blood pressure to be lower than normal. Also its always good to get a second reading, possibly from the other arm, to be sure. (Not a nurse but was told this by a nurse)

I say you might just have the flu or som but your lood pressure worries me
Those two numbers are way to close together. I would go to the er.GEt that blood pressure checked. Im not a nurse, but have worked in iternal medicine

gonna go get another reading right now. theres a mystery illness going around here thats killed a little girl. I'm freaking out. I'm not normally a hypochonriac sp? but i am worried. if the reading is off or myfever continues to go up, ill have the hubby drop me off and watch the lo tonight.

70s/80s is not possible. The machine was broken. If your blood pressure is low and your pulse is high....thats typically a sign of dehydration. Throw in a fever of 101 or higher and those are signs of being septic. Get checked just in case. Increase your fluids and see if that doesnt help your blood pressure. Yes...i am a nurse.
