However, that's part of the reason I never slap bumper stickers on my car (especially living in liberal Portland)...I don't want to get keyed...or ran off the road

I'm not surprised. My grandparents, who own my house, wouldn't let us put signs on our yard because they were afraid of crazy people.
The craziest was my dad..he said he was gonna stomp all over the flag and then piss on it. And some pretty nasty stuff about Obama that I'd rather not repeat. According to him, that's not his flag and he's a "good ole' rebel". Ugh. DH almost got in a physical fight with him over all of it.
