Induced????

Ok no one jump on me because im terrified! My first baby weighed 7lb 14oz, My second Weighed 9lb 7oz, I went for a growth scan yesterday because im measuring big, and because of no2 weight they thought it would be a good idea to find out what they were dealing with, Im 36 weeks and they say that baby is above 95 percentile at 7lb 15oz already, and showing that it is the height of a 39.1day old, Im terrified of complications that could arrise from having a larger baby like having a csec or the baby getting stuck and having to have his shoulder broke (i know these happen) Just like i know that there is a one in ten chance of a baby who weighs over 10lb getting stuck. I know people say that the baby will come whne he is due, or that im selfish but im honestly terrified of giving bitrth to this one, with my other 2 i was fine i knew i would cope, i dont think i will with this one, i think the fear will over whelm me when im in labour and ill panic and just not cope, Have a midwifes appointment on Friday and was thinking about asking to be induced at 38.5 weeks. I think the thing that has also paniced me is i was told after the scan that a doctor would like to speak to me to discuss the results But i was just dismissed by a midwife from the assesment unit who spoke to the doctor on my behalf without my consent, I had questions and nothing was answered all she came back to me and said was "the doctor things this baby will follow you no2 path and just be big, book an appointment for 3 weeks time for another assesment" That takes me to a week before im dues dead on 7 days, so if i was to go to this appointment and then they decide that they have left it too long and baby is tooo big ill probley be told a c sec (i have an intense fear of needles) I dont want a c sec as i have a 7year old and a 3 year old to look after as well as 52 steep stairs to walk to my house, want to know what people think, please dont jump on me for this, im scared enough as it is!

Wait and see what happens. Ultrasounds can not accurately measure a babies weight, and people deliver 12pound babies naturally, so I'm sure you would be fine.

induction is AWESOME! I'm trying to talk my dr. into inducing me. LOL So far she's not buying it, but my uterus is prime real estate and my babies don't move out on their own.

I understand how you feel. My babys' head and abdomen are measuring 42 weeks and is atleast 8 pounds. My dr wants to induce me no later than the week after Thanksgiving, but im nervous that my baby boy will be super chunky then. If my baby was healthy and it would be safe I would feel a little more at ease with inducing me the week of Thanksgiving, putting me at 38 weeks.

the scary thing is im convinced they got my dates wrong with my second, i had 38 day cycles and they dismissed that and said your due on the 24th august, was induced on the 5th sept he came on the 6th, my dates that i worked out would have put him at the 12th sept, so if i had waited wtf would he have weighed when he came out, i agree i didnt mind the induction one bit!

See i cant understand that if my baby is that big already, why am i not being seen at 38 weeks instead of 39! I know that extra week inside will give him better chance but why not see me 38 weeks then if they think he is not gonna be an elephant then see me 39 weeks also! Just pissed me off that the doctor didnt see me, also i had to book the growth scan as the midwife who i had booked it for me didnt book it correctly, i called to see when it would be and was told by 3 different people that they couldnt find me on the system so i explained it several different times, was told someone would call me back within half an hour, after 2 hours i called back and was told "oh yeah we booked you in for tomorrow" so i nearly ended up missing it because they would have messed up! I know this is baby 3 for me and im ment to get less appointments but just because ive done it before doesnt mean i know everything! Scary isnt it! When my son was born he was that chunky i kept forgetting to support his head as he looked old enough to support it hisself lol

I totally agree, if he is measuring that big then induce me at 38 weeks lol. I go this Thursday so i'm going to see about talking him into it. I guess we will see. He already told me im going yo be having a buddha baby because his head and body are so big compared to his legs lol
