I don't think I'd mind a heavy carrier as I plan to use a sling most of the time I'm out and about.

If you plan to baby wear, you might want to skip the infant seat and go straight to a convertible. Then you can invest in a nice light weight stroller that'll last you. Instead of being stuck with a crappy/bulky travel system stroller!?

I did think of that, but don't most travel systems have a place under where the infant seat goes that's a stroller for when they're bigger?
I was thinking if get a convertible as well anyway so we can keep one car seat in SO's car and one in mine. (Probably the infant seat in his since he probably won't be as much of a fan of baby wearing lol)

Yes, they do have a stroller as well.
But instead of getting a whole new carseat for your SO's car, why don't you just buy an extra base if you are planning on buying an infant seat? We have a base for each car, and it makes moving LO super easy.

Yep, we have a base in each car as well. Makes everything sooooo easy.

Yes, that's what makes them a 'travel system'. But, the included strollers are usually crap...plastic and bulky!

It was just a suggestion. We've always use an infant car seat, they are very convenient. But, we buy the stroller & car seat separately...

Well that way we'd have the convertible for when she's too big for the infant seat..

It's definitely something for me to consider. I hadn't really thought of skipping it as I figured it'd be cheaper to just get the travel system from my best friend's mom who's offering to buy it, then just get the convertible seat myself... But now I may just consider asking for the seat and looking at strollers...
I'll just have to compare prices I guess.

Hey I've got two infant seats you can pick from....I think they both can lock onto a stroller....the baby trend one I know for certain you can....I bought his stroller after I got the car seat at my baby shower...I just looked for the matching one...but I think maybe it can lock onto other strollers too? Not really sure

This is the baby trend I have ( never been in an accident)

We had a black Quinny Buzz with #3. It's really wide and soooo heavy. But the seat is very cushy and the hydraulic open is cool [as long as you keep your fingers clear...lol]

But, we have the newer version of your car seat and the Mico is an AWESOME car seat. You'll love it! We used it with our Bugaboo Bee+ and Stokke Xplory strollers.

Yes. It's a tough debate! That's why I bought both...LOL But, if I had to choose it would be Bugaboo.   The Quinny is an awesome stroller though. My friend LOVES hers [she has a Buzz 3 & 4]...she's now using it for her 2nd child. Travels between here, London & Morocco with it. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Hmmm I'll have to check them out, then! Then that way maybe I can just ask for the stroller... ^.^

But we'd still need to get a convertible one, too. Ugh there's too many decisions for so many things! Lol
