Amish Food

We live in a small town. No walmart, no McDonalds, no restaurants, no nothing. We have an Amish store. I go there sometimes. They sell all things natural in which you can cook/bake from scratch (deli, homemade churned butter, milk, sodas, baked goods, dairy, spices, pantry items, cheeses, etc etc etc). They also sell things made from scratch. Just went to get my kids some candy from there (it was made of bees wax, beef gelatine, sugar, corn syrup, citric acid, and artificial flavoring). I happened to notice in a small deep freezer they sell ground meat. Like a pound for $4....all natural. Has anyone eaten all natural meat? I am on the fence about buying any because it doesnt have the chemicals that kill the other stuff that can potentially make you very sick (this is why meat has what people refer to as "pink slime"...yes, I did my research). I also have no idea how meat tastes bought from any place but Kroger or Walmart.

Yes, all natural beef is really good.
If when you cook it, all the nasty stuff will usually cook out.

I might buy one and try it. A pound of $4 isnt bad at all. They used some sort of wrapping that sucks all the air out of the package..whatever it's called. I think the meat comes from the cows that are around the store. :0/

I only buy meats from local farms, there is a world of difference in taste. It's amazing.

Also, people were eating meat without all those "chemicals" long before they were introduced.

That is what we buy. Haven't gotten sick from it yet. lol

We have all natural meat, it takes way different. Not bad different, just clean different. And cooks way better, almost no grease.

Cook your food and you'll be fine.

Fresh meat is really good and much better for you.

When I lived in Ohio we use to get ALL of our meat from the Amish, it was sooo much better tasting.

As long as you handle it properly, once you cook it to the correct temperature, it kills the bacteria that make you sick.
