cooking pinto beans in a crockpot?

Ok so don't laugh I have never done this before. I soaked the beans overnight.. I want to put bacon in it, do I just take the uncooked bacon and throw it in there and how long do I cook it for lol.

I chop it up and add onion and salt too sometimes I throw in a jalepeno pepper too

I usually use a leftover ham bone, but bacon does great if yu chop it and add salt and lots of pepper---I always add onion and a little garlic (fresh, not powdered).
