Just a saying for all the young mommies on here :)

I'm not a teen, but I consider myself a new mom. It makes me think of another quote, but I'm not sure where I heard it.

It is not true that birth brings one life into a world. It brings two-a mother and a daughter.

I'm not a teen either but I had my boys when I was 20 and that is extremely young around here.

I was 19 with my first, and will 20 when I have my second. I also like the term young mom, rather then teen mom though

I definitely feel like this part rings true.
I'm considered 'young' (i.e. under 25) but I really think it's irrelevant.

I'm in Canada also. A smaller town .. but more then 50% of the young girls here have at least one baby! I know a 14 year old who got pregnant and had her daughter at 15. Its so common here, no one really gets the baby having a baby look anymore. Sadly, most of the moms shouldn't even have their baby(babies), I know 5 good moms here off the top of my head.. and at least 20 bad ones..

really? wow! I live in the city and barely see any 'young moms'. I wish I seen more though.

I love the op. So very true. I had my dd at 16. I'm going to get to watch my grandchildren have children. :-). She made me a better, stronger , happier version of myself. I'd like to add bad moms come in all age groups. It's got zilch to do with being a teen.

LOVE IT!!!   Got pregnant at 19, had my DD at 20, & I had just started college (finished two semesters while pregnant). My MIL liked talking about how it was the end of mine & my SO's life because of the responsibility of a baby (she changed her tune when we found out it was a girl. Gender mattered to her). To be honest, my life didn't begin until I had her. J.E.T is my world & I couldn't fathom my life w/o her. Being a mommy is the greatest blessing & I honestly think it makes us more determined & stronger women because we feel we need to make life the best for our LO's.
