my finace and i had recently just lost his mother and sister in a car accident last year on the 4th of july. We wanted to name our daughter something to remember his sister by because we have a feeling our daughter is going to be a lot like her aunt. His sisters name was anna noel, so we have decided on abagail noel russell. well i was telling a friend what her name is and he says she is going to get made fun of in school. i dont see how but i was wondering if anyone else is thinking she will get picked on for the name abagail noel?

Aug I hate when people feel the need to put in their two cents about your chosen name.
My grandmother is the only one we told our name to and she immediately said aug well at least you have six more months to think of a new one  

Abigail is beautiful , idk abt that spelling but Abigail is very popular so she won't be the only one with the name. I'm pretty sure Noel is the masculine of noelle.

All kids get made fun of for some reason or another at some point in their lives. It may be the name, weight, height, skin color, who knows. But for the name, probably not.

Yes, yes she will, but not because of her name. Kids are horrible, and will find anything. Creative little poops. My daughters name is Brooke, and they say Brooke loves books. Like thats even funny.

I think that is a cute name. People are giving their children very different names now. She should be fine. I named my daughter Italia Nechelle. Italia bc I am full Italian and my fiance isn't once we are married I will no longer have my last name and she already has his so I wanted to do something that kept my heritage and Nechelle bc it is my bestfriend's (since I was 5) middle name. Names with meaning are the best.

My oldest daughters name is Abigale Jayne and she doesnt get picked on. we have little nicknames for her, depending on the mood she is in.

I said yes. Not because of her name, but all kids get picked on at some point. Lol There's nothing wrong with the name though, quite pretty actually. :-)

Thank you ladies. my wondering mind sometimes gets the big best of me. my friend is probably just being a big tard and doesn't know what he is talking about. we love it and its in honor of his sister and we will for sure raise her to know why she was named with her name when she is older. (:
