Cloth diapers

Hi everyone, I came across this website looking for my due date, lol. But me and my husband were discussing cloth diapers because they have went up in price quite a bit since our last child. So I have been trying to look into it but I am more confused than when I started I think =) so can anyone give me some ideas on what they do? And would it make a difference between a boy and a girl using them?

You can get new cloth diapers in big bundles for pretty cheap on ebay they only come in white or solid colors. Looking at the prices made me re-think a bit when I was looking so I ordered a hudge book of cloth diaper patterns and am going to start making my own buying the book and the supplies to make them is still cheaper than most places i found to buy them and you can personalize them all you want.

I am attempting cloth diapering. from the way i understand it you just need the diapers and liners. you can also get extra disposible liners that are for catching the poo so you can throw that away without having to scrub. I know a bunch of people that are into it and said they spent a lot up front but they spent less than they would for maybe 3 months of diapering. the diapers that you buy can supposedly stretch all the way from new born to the time when they potty train so you dont have to buy sizes. im just getting the plain white ones so that it's easy to wash them

Make sure they say one size fits all because some or just for certian sizes and are labled like diapers newborn and so on.

I found a store on ebay that gives you 10 pocket diapers with 20 inserts for $45. I have gotten 2 packages of them so far (they are one size so for 6.5 to 28 lbs) and am absolutely in LOVE with them.
