Pretending to have baby too
posted 6th Nov
My daughter is going to be 4 soon and since she learned about the baby in moms belly she seems to have one too lol. Sounds silly but should i be going along with it? She sometimes uses it as an excuse to not do something. I always tell her that hers is pretend and mommy's is real. Is there any harm in pretending with her? Im almost positive she knows its not real, but What if she is not sure and just tells me she knows.
Im over reacting? or just let it be

My son thought he had a baby in his tummy because mommy did, i didn't think anything of it.

I think it might be a bit of jealousy. When me an someone are chatting about the baby she will be like " you guys want to feel my baby move?"
Or say something about "her baby"

Kids pretend-play and act out what's going on in their day to day lives. You're pregnant, so your DD wants to pretend she is as well. It's 100% natural, and even if it is tinged with a bit of jealousy, most of it is just her performing dramatic play.
