too young to introduce potty?

my daughter is 15 months. whenever she poops i will ask her, "did you poop" if she does she will lift up her shirt and tug on her pants and say poop. my son was fully trained at 2 years and 3 months but i didnt introduce him til 2 years exactly. idk if this means she may be ready to start or what.
also the other week i sat her on the regular toilet and held her when i took her diaper off while her bath water was running, only bc she usually pees as soon as i take her diaper off... and she pee'd in the toilet. im guessing its time to start.

I don't know, sounds like you got lucky that she peed in the toilet. But good luck, seems like more of a headache than just waiting.

what i mean by "introduce" is setting the potty up. sitting her on it when i go, or before baths. not being strict on it...

my 20mo old started out like that around 15/16mo.......she is now using the toilet about half the time. We just ask her if she wants to sit on her potty, no pressure. First she would go once a day w/me first thing in the morning....now she will actually tell you when she wants to go (unless she is napping or too involved in play)

I would wait until she starts telling you she's soiled without you prompting her.

I say go for it! Nothing wrong with sitting out their potty and have them sitting on it while you are going. I did the same thing when my son was that age.

We bought Addy one at 20 months and let her play around with it to get used to it. She would tell us when she pooped or peed so we started Pt AT 22 months and she was pt in 2 months. It was full of headaches, but we were glad when it was done.

Worth a try. My daughter showed intrest in the potty at 12 months, so when she walk over to her potty and let me know she had to go I would let her, but never pushed her...she did this til 20 months then decided she was didnt want to do it anymore...
Then week after her 2nd birthday we went full force with training and she was fully trained in 3 days..in public and at night included. It was wayyyy easier than I expected.

Not too young. I started on my kids 1st birthday, they were both fully potty trained for day and night at 15.5-16 months and 14 months old.
