Gallbladder

So a while ago, I had an US for gallstones. They never told me anything.  

So the other day I had terrible pain. Abdominal pain, like really really bad gas pain kind of pain. And I've been getting this contracting kind of sensation in my gallbladder area. I didn't take any pain killer, but I laid down and it seemed to get better, I slept it off for a few hours.

I don't have a fever. The pain comes and goes. Is this normal gallstone attack pain? Or could it be something more severe?

When I had attacks, the pain would start in my back on right side, then go to my stomach. It was horrible pain. Nothing would get rid of the pain but some heavy pain pills.
I never had a fever with my attacks and it would come and go, depending on what I ate.
It was seriously the worst pain I ever felt so far.

When i had my gallbladder out it wasn't from gallstones it was just because it wasn't working. So it could very well be gallbladder attacks and you might not have stones. they do a IV dye test where they check your gallbladder function and find out if it needs to be removed.

Mine were like this too! that pain sucks so bad.

I'd rather have another baby than deal with my gallbladder ever again.

with that said, what you described sounded like it. Just terrible. I thought it was just bad gas, it brought me to my knees.

Well glad to hear it's normal. I can deal with Pain- but yeah, it felt like labour kind of gas pain feeling. Tolerable, but miserable.

Guess I'll just see a GP and see what they recommend. Get my fat ass on some salads, perhaps.

Once you get it taken out it isn't much better it took me a year to be able to eat anything and not get sick as a dog after but the recovery depends on the person. hope you get some relief either way!
