My moms sweet potato casserole, nobody has ever made it as good as she does.

My MIL used to be in charge of TG. My husband and I lived away from home for about 8 years and so I just got into the habit. Now my MIL doesn't even bother. LOL

My brine has apple cider, orange rind, clove and salt in it.

Green bean casserole. Hell yeah.

We usually get takeout though.

Sweet potato fluff.

2 cans of sweet potatoes/yams. Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove to taste

blend w/ whipping cream until smooth. Put in baking dish w/ marshmallows on top. bake until mallows are golden and fluff is bubbly.

It is just heaven. Ughhh. It gives it a total earthy taste that is just fantastic. I can't have stove top because there isn't nearly enough sage in it.

Hell, I wouldn't wanna be in charge of that smurf anyways. We have to make 2 turkeys and a Ham... we have like... atleast 20 people are there... lol. I don't wanna be in charge for that many people. Lol.

Thai, Armenian. Whatever we might be in the mood for. We dot have a lot of family close- my mom is an hour away and the drive with holiday traffic is insane. Seems silly to do the whole shebang for just a few of us.

LOL nope. And I enjoy it! I'm a big foodie w/ very limited skills. One thing I do right is my turkey. It makes me feel accomplished for at least 1 day.

It was funny last year. My SIL has this thing against garlic. We eat huge amounts of it in my house. Almost everything has a heaping tablespoon or two of crushed garlic in it.

Well, last year, I tried to taylor my cooking towards everyone's tastes. I didn't put a ton of garlic in my mashed potatoes like I normally do. My FIL who doesn't really comment on my cooking, other than soveling huge amts of it into his gullet, was all "Why are these potatoes not as garlicy this year? I was looking forward to garlic breath potatoes." Bwahahahahaha This year, she better make her own damn potatoes! Mama's pulling out the jar!.
