gifts for a 1 year old?

my son will be 1 next week! omg where did the time go!!??  well his party is this sunday! what are some good gifts that mommy and daddy could get him? or anyone else could get him? ive just been telling people clothes, diapers, coloring books with crayons, books, age appropriate toys. but what are some specific toys that are fun for a 1 year old!?

Wish I knew, too, loool. She'll be 15 months old on Christmas and we're stumped on what to get her.

We bought our son this on his first Birthday, it was the only thing we got him. He's still so obsessed with it! He plays with it everyday and he's 19 months. Best 25.00 I've ever spend.

my parents got him a tricycle but its not the 1 i wanted, its one that he has to use his feet with and later we can add the petals. i cant strap him in or push him! im not too happy about it either cause i think i found the one they got online and it had terrible reviews! i picked a certain 1 out bc it had the features that i wanted and had gotten great reviews. i hate bummers when it comes to things for my son!
