Steroid injections

I'm terrified  

I just booked my appointment with the ultrasound tech to get them in my feet next Monday and Tuesday.

The doc told me that it hurts like hell.  

Reassurance?

Anyone had this done and it really didn't hurt as much as they say it does.

I know I have had 2 steroid shots, when I was 16 and sick..but I don't remember the pain. It must not have been too bad =/

I had to get 2. They hurt for maybe 3 minutes then I felt fine.

What kind of steroids?

I've had decadron a lot for strep throat and it's not too bad. I got the steroid shots they give you in premature labor though, and those hurt like hell.

i got the preterm steroid shots and had no pain with them what so ever...what kind of steroid?? and in the foot, thats odd.

I had 2 with both pregnancies...they were in my butt cheek though. they stung, and were sore the next day or two.

I had steriod shorts with all 3 babies because of preterm labor I got two each time & it only hurt as much as any other shot would... I will be getting them in a few weeks for this pregnancy also... Id rather go through the small amount of pain they cause then have my babies born without their lungs fully developed... My kids were 6 weeks 4 weeks & 3 weeks early & I believe they helped alot because all 3 were healthy & had strong healthy little bodies! =)

I get them on average once a month in the ass for Lupus. They burn and sting like hell to me.

I'm not sure what kind.. But it's for plantar fasciitis and spurs.
