Maybe lactose intolerant?

posted 5th Nov
Zoey's 13 months and has been on milk since about a week before her birthday. She did AWFUL on whole milk so we switched to 2% thinking she just wasn't ready but it's been over a month now and she's still doing bad. After she drinks a bottle or a cup of milk she automatically poops...and it's like runny, greenish brown goo that burns her skin BAD. She went potty & not even 5 minutes later she was SCREAMING. When I changed her her skin looked like the poop had been sitting there for hours...she was almost bleeding in one spot.

Should I try soy milk or should I make her a doc appointment first? HELP!

How do other diary products effect her? I havelactose intolerance and I have noticed the greater the fat percentage the more of the tummy ache and other issues. Not everyone is the same. You can call the doc. They will probably want a poopy diaper to test. Did she have a probelm with formula?

My little boy is 2 and he is lactose intolerant... but, we have known since he was 1 month old that he would be. I buy lactose free milk with Vitamin D. It tastes better than soy, it actually tastes just like milk, just a little sweeter. If she is acting like that then she probably is... And that is what happened to my little boy when he was a baby and we were giving him regular formula... he got a yeast infection on his butt from being allergic to the protein in the milk. He also, would bleed from diaper rashes from it.

Oh, and it is just milk that does it to him... he can eat cheese, sour cream, and other dairy products...
