Do these count?

posted 5th Nov
I'm exactly a week away from my DD, and for the past few days I have noticed that I have had more BH contractions. They are not painful at all, but should I be timing these as if they were painful? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I am just really hoping for labor to come soon, because I do not want to be induced. If I don't go into labor on my own by next Monday I will have to be induced.

Wait for them to be painful and remember it is your choice to be induced, you can say no hun!

If they are timeable they might not be bh.

I had nonpainful contractions that were real. They were 2 minutes apart so hubby made me go in. Thankfully cuz I was almost 8.cm and delivered my son after less than an hour at the hospital!

it is your choice to be induced! if you don't want to..you don't have to be!!! I was 3 days overdue and my dr made an appointment for me to be induced the next day (thank god I went into natural labor on my own that night!) but i didn't want to be and I said no but my dr said "i will not let you go to 41 weeks"   i was too "shy" or whatever to say no....now if whenever I have my next if that happens I will be strong enough to say no because i wont be a first time momma

IF they are regular,Time them.....some ladies don't have painful contractions until just before time to push. I am one of them.

They don't like you to go over 41 wks because your baby stops growing and that's why they like to induce no later than 42 wks, I had what I thought was bh and I went in and I am 3cm and 100% effaced just because their not painful doesn't mean there not real.. time them..

I am also one of them! they weren't that painful to me...by the time I went to the hospital I was 8cm! (and i only went because i started throwing up and i didn't want to get dehydrated)

Same here! I didnt think I was in labor and neither did my nurses. They were shocked that I was 8 cm because they were betting I would be sent home. Contractions never really got painful, it was the pressure that bothered me because baby was making his way out and I was asked not to push because my midwife was stuck in traffic. Total labor was 1 hr 46 minutes!

With my 2nd I was induced when I hit 5 cm. I felt no pain during the entire labor and laughed and joked through contractions. But my labor only lasted 36 minutes!!!!!

i dont even remember how long my labor was! lol. I just remember my SO calling his SIL and asking if it was normal that i was throwing up..she said she didn't know and I said I think we should go to the hospital soon but "take don't take your time with what you need to do" and then five minutes later i said we need to go now! lol

Thats awesome! I didnt even want to go but hubby said I should. He was freaking out lol.

But contractions started at 11:45 pm. We drove pretty slowly to the hospital because it was snowing hard. I finally got checked in and checked at 12:45 and was 8 cm. I was 10 by about 1:10 am and had to wait for the midwife. Tate was delivered at 1:31 am after 3 pushes.

When Tracy got there his head was halfway out aling with my intact bag of waters. One nurse had a pad thing over it and was supporting his head!!!

they didn't check me right away either at the hospital...i live literally like 5 minutes away from the hospital. They put me behind a curtain and I started puking there too and that is when they came over to me...and the one nurse couldn't feel my cervix and got another nurse to check me and that is when they said i was 8 cm and then they rushed me up to labor and delivery lol. i dont even remember how long i was pushing..idk why i dont remember anything but i dont...i just wasn't really paying attention to any of that...i was in my own zone..i zoned everything and everyone out.

Oh gosh... did they not believe you?

They just took their time with me. I had paperwork to fill out and got.changed etc...

But they told me I was the 8th lady in L&D and the only one to stay. The nurses were so bored that they were taking bets on wether we were actually in labor lol

I'm being induced for medical reasons, so it wouldn't really be wise to decline. But I still really don't want to be induced.

I had a wonderful induction with my 2nd. At least these contractions might help you prepare for it, but hopefully they are real!!
