cold/puking

My poor son always ends up puking when he gets a cols. The draining causes him to gag non-stop. Is this something hell out grow soon.,i am using the snot sucker as often as possible to help, and vics baby rub. What else can I do? Anyone,else have this problem?

DS does this same thing too, I feel horrible for him  

My almost 4 year old is the same way and it only gets worse at night. No clue why it happens but this time she has it really bad. She's slept the entire day away just about   We've tried Albuterol because he thought it was asthma but it didn't help. Wish we had answers that's for sure.

It breaks my heart. Because he whimpers after he gags. And I have dh sleep with ds on the couch to where ds is kind of proped up. This way when or if he starts gagging dh will be there to make sure he doesnt choke.

Im working woth ds on blowing is nose and not swallowing the mucus

That's what we do too. DH is the puke person in the house, so he will sleep a rocking chair with DS against him. I hate it, because it scares DS when he starts gagging. So that makes him more upset which also makes him throw up, because he is crying so hard. I just dread when the weather starts changing and DS starts getting a runny nose, it means all this is not far behind.

Haha thats why ds is on duty. I cannot handle puke right now. I feel soo bad too   but it takes all my power to not puke when I hear smeel or see it

Yep, I'm the same way. I can handle all other bodily issues...just not that one.

Well I hope ur ds fights it off before it gets bad. Im going to see if ds.s pedi thinks its a good idea for ds to start taking liquid vitamin c again
