IUD implanting in uterus.... surgical removal!

Have any of you ladies had your IUD implant in the uterus? I wanted to get it removed after it being in only for a month because something felt weird. Lots of cramping and I thought it was falling out.

The doc tried to remove and it was extremely painful and he could not get it out after many tries and two different doctor's trying. They scheduled surgery to remove it in a couple days and I am wondering if this is normal for this to happen?

Will this have any long term effects?

My sister in law needed to have a DNC to have hers removed. It was attached to the lining of her uterus.

i had mirena put in after i had my daughter. she was born jan 09. i went from my 30 day check up they couldnt find it. they then did an ultrasound sitll nothign so they put another one in. about 2 weeks later i had horrible cramping pain and everything. my period came to end. i would spike 104 temp and go to er and to my ob doc and they would tell me nothing was wrong. i was sick for 2 days where i couldnt get off the couhc and i went to the hospital here in town did all kinds of test and once again it was all in my head. i went to another hospital. they ran the small test as the first hosopital. the iud was inbedded in my stomach wall. they pulled me into emergency surgery at 2am. please watch your self some of these doc dont care. i went back to that ob and he told me to leave his office.

it can happen unfortunitly. i had a HORRIBLE experience with it...75 lbs weight gain in a year, hospitalized because of the migrains being so bad( literally couldnt even see and holucinations ) anddd and a pelvic infection. im like a one in a million chance but i wouldnt reccomend to anyone.
