PP period or?

LO will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. I had quit bleeding for about a week and now I'm bleeding again, bright red but it's not very heavy, yet. I'm a little crampy. So two probably stupid questions. A) Can you have your first period this soon? I didn't get my period with DD until 7 weeks PP. B) Period or just more PP bleeding? I'm honestly not sure, if it's my period, it's a lot lighter than it normally is. Your thoughts?

Yes it could be your period. But if it doesn't get very heavy it may just be more PP bleeding.

I had this happen too but it settled back down after 2 days and then went yellowy brown for a few days and didn't bleed again until Christmas (DS was born in August)
