How much do you spend on birthday parties?

Like with food, invitations, decorations, games,party bags.... everything?

Usually around $100-$150 before gifts.. I make my own invites  

Around $800 for everything. (Food/her outfit/jumper/cake/etc)

100? If u have a dollar tree, ares has a bunch of games and stuff for bdays.

How many kids is that for?
My daughter has 20 kids on her list. I'm trying to figure out if it would be cheaper for me to do everything myself, or if it's cheaper to pay to have it at a venue and have them do all the food and entertainment.

20 bucks....

Plastic plates, cake, ice cream.

We invite family and my best friend and her son over do cake ice cream people go home. Done.

Usually we have around 20 kids. 50ish people total. I don't do venues though. Usually we have them at our house or a park/water park. Once the kids get older I'll plan venues (bowling, movies, etc)

Last year I spent about 400 bucks. This year it will be about 300 including his birthday present.

DDs first birthday we just did close family and friends. We did cake, plus a toddler cake, ice cream, soda, chips and presents all for about 100-150 dollars.

I see nothing wrong with spending money on birthday parties. Each situation is different. If I just had family coming over for dinner, I wouldn't spend more that $75. Seeing as my LO has a huge family on her fathers side, and traditions, we spend more. I see nothing wrong with it, we have the money to do so, and everyone has a good time.
