Christmas dessert...

So, DH and I are going to his grandparent's house for Christmas, and I thought about making a simple dessert.
I was thinking of making these cookies:

They're just devil's food cake mix, eggs, oil, and andes mints.

And putting them on a plate like this:


Which is just peppermints, lol.


But I'm not sure if it'll be... Christmasy enough. lol

I'd say it's perfect... if you're worried, you could always make the cookies in Christmas tree shapes

I thought the plate would be a nice touch. And might freak the kids out a little if I break the plate when the cookies are gone and eat it.

(:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
2. Place wax paper on cookie sheet
3. Arrange mints in any design you wish on top of wax paper or parchment paper on a cookie sheet {allowing extra room on the sides}
4. Bake for approximately 8-10 minutes
5. Take out and allow to cool on cookie sheet {cools in approximately 5 minutes}
6. Remove wax paper from bottom-But be careful, because the plate is very fragile!

I thought that was a plate to look like the candies but its made with the candies? That is so cool!! I am definitely going to try that, is that pic one that you made?

I have no one to impress for Christmas, but I think I'll still be trying that out! ^.^
