Starting Natural labor

posted 5th Nov
I am 39 weeks and 5 days. I have 3 days till my due date....I have not had any type pf contractions or anything....I am kinda worried since I have only been 1 CM for 3 weeks....I asked my doctor if I could be indiced on my die date but she said it depends on if I am up to 2 CM or higher...How do I get natural labor started? I have been walking a bunch, having sex like evryone tells me too and I even tried the castroil it did nothing. Can someone help me on how to start labor naturally please ?

You drank motor oil? Yuck! You can't jump start natural labor. Natural implies that it happened on it's own. You're getting close. Hang in there.

I read that being on your hands and knees will move baby to an anterior position. In that position his/her head will be pushing against a part of you (I forget) that will start dilating from the pressure. Everywhere I read it says, "get on your hands and knees and scrub your kitchen floors!"

Good luck dear!

No problem. Your wording just made me chuckle.

Hehe.
But this. You don't have much longer, OP. And you don't want to be induced. If will most likely make labor more painful, and there is a whole slew of complications that could arise.
You can go from a 1 to full-blown labor in hours.
And you probably don't want to try drinking castor oil again. It could cause your baby to pass meconium, and believe me, that is very scary. And not something you want to happen because of a choice you made.

Move around lots (walking, exercise, etc)
Not long now. Hope it happens naturally soon because being induced is hell.
Enjoy your last few days of peace and quiet, keep your mind busy, last minute prep

Do yourself a favor, and don't get an induction just because you're tired of being pregnant. You could go up to 2 more weeks before an induction is neccessary.

Be patient, OP. Baby will come when he/she is ready, and nothing is going to make it happen sooner. Walking, sex, etc. might help but not unless your body is ready for labor.

That doesn't induce labor. It only softens the cervix over a matter of weeks.
