Mine are like this too and some days I can barely eat. Mine are impacted so no matter how long I wait they wont come through. I also have RA so I do not trust them to put me to sleep to take them out. I know they will break my jaw.

For me, cold stuff makes it soooooo much worse. I'd try a weet bag if you have one and lay down on it. Also just going to bed helps me to.
