I do think that the mother should have some sense beat into her for putting her kid on the rail. Sever lack of common sense there

They are wild animals. What that woman did was careless and they acted on their instincts and natural behavior. That Zoo would come under so much fire if they euthanized those dogs.

I don't think they should be put down. They were wild dogs, not trained animals. Someone was in their space, they attacked. Its their instinct. I don't think they should be punished for that little boy's dumb ass mom.

Yeah. I believe 4 dogs ran away immediately, 2 of them were being stubborn but eventually let go but there was one dog who was extra aggressive and needed to be shot.

Why should the dogs be euthanized? It's not like they got out and were wreaking havoc on the general public. It was a freak accident, and they just reacted instinctually. Just because they are in a zoo doesn't take away the fact that they are still wild animals.

I think the mother is an idiot for putting the kid on the rail, but like I said, freak accident. I bet she didn't think in a million years the kid would actually fall in and get mauled.

Sorry I feel terrible for the mother I really do but it is her fault. I work at a zoo and see people do stuff like this all the time, not fall over of course, but put their kids in a situation that could end just as this did. I constantly have to tell people to get off the rails cause they could fall but they just look at me like I'm a kill joy. We have the rules for a reason. Not only for the protection of our guests but for the safety of our animals
