Pitocin Label

posted 5th Nov
Babies come when they're ready. You may want to read this handy Pitocin label I came across before wanting/agreeing to be induced

Some women HAVE to be induced for the safety of them and their child. All medications have side effects.

Hints the reason she said "SOME"

Clearly this doesn't apply to medical inductions. She's obviously talking about those women who choose to be induced for reason, not pertaining to the health of their child.

It is necessary sometimes though.

Yes, they are, i'm not arguing that point in the slightest.
But OP also said before agreeing to an induction. Some women don't have a choice, and to scare them with this kind of thing is senseless KWIM?

She said wanting/agreeing, so i took it as all inductions.

I had an elective induction. I would never do it again. I was naive.

Okay and you know there are situations where a doctor will bring up induction for no medical reason, right? Thus comes "before agreeing".

Yeah, you didn't really look at other situations.

Same here, she didn't clearly specify, I took it as all inductions as well. It wasn't that obvious to me. "Shrugs"

That's what happened to me. They said I could be induced at 39 weeks if I wanted and I agreed. I had no idea what I was doing.

I said agreeing not even thinking about emergencies. I was just thinking of my doctor who kept trying & trying to convince me to schedule an induction when I hit 41 weeks even "to be safe". The bitch (excuse my language, but she was!) also told me delivering without an epidural didnt make me a "hero". I had a completely normal, healthy pregnancy so I refused and i went into labor on my own completely naturally at 41w4d and had no complications during delivery.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It was meant for situations like mine and the drama queens who are just "tired" of being pregnant and "cant take it any longer"
