husband objects to pain relief during labor?

Any of you ladies ever had your husband/so/bd object to you having pain relief during labor? I know I want to have an epidural, I had one with my first delivery and it was great.

My husband keeps saying that I'm a wimp because women have been having babies forever and epidurals are just modern technology, blah blah. I really want to hit him for acting like a dick about it. He isn't going to change my mind, but it makes me feel bad that he thinks I'm a wimp.

You can always offer to shove a bowling ball up his dick, then ask him how it feels.

Tell him you will have a drug free birth after you shove a milkshake straw in his pee hole.

My first thought was telling him to pee a watermelon out of his weiner and see if he can do it without medication. Then you'll talk.   He's being a jerk.

When he squirts an 8 pound human out of his butthole, he can opt for no meds.

For you, the choice is yours alone.

I'd grab his balls and dig my nails into them and say 'oh I'm sorry! Does that hurt? Be a man and suck it up. You don't get pain relief'

Tell him to wait outside like they used to do and to not concern himself with what you do.

LOL.. I told him I should be able to kick him in the balls every time I contract and see how he likes it. 

Make a deal with him. Have him put his frank'n'beans in a vice for the entirety of your labor. Then you both can be champs together.

My hubby is opposed...but so am I, so we agree.

We both feel its just too dangerous and I'd rather be in pain for a couple days (my first labor was 36 hours of active labor and longer of early labor) than put myself or my baby at risk.
