hair washing

My 5 year old daughter gets mad everytime I tell her to wash her hair. She's been doing it on her own since she was 3. When she was 4 she decided she was done with kid shampoo and needed adult shampoo. She has never gotten it in her eyes and always rinses well. But for the past 2 weeks, it's been a fight to get her to wash. She'll lie to me and say she did, until I ask to smell it. She'll scream at me and say "it's too boring". She'll eventually do it after about 30 minutes of me repeatedly telling her too. Anyone else going through this?

No. If my 6 year old doesnt wash his hair after I tell him to I wash it for him. Im not going to argue with a kid about washing their hair. Either do it yourself or Ill do it for you screaming and fighting the whole time.

My 8 year old step son does this! lol He has been washing his hair since about 4 and he has to use baby shampoo because of allergies but he will always tell me yeah I did and even let me smell it and when I ask why he didn't wash he will tell me he couldn't find the shampoo!! It is always in the same exact spot! I really don't know why he won't do it but now I have been getting my DH to sit in the bathroom and watch him wash! lol Sad but at least he does do it! I even threatened to have his dad start washing his hair for him and he still won't do it unsupervised....
