Insurance cost hike AGAIN! Thanks Obama!

posted 5th Nov
It's "enrollment" season and our costs are going up by 14%. Last year they went up, as well.
Thanks Mr. President for telling big fat lies about what your plan would do to insurance costs.

Most people have gotten hikes for 2 years in a row. If you havent you are either very fortunate to have such a nice employer and/or may have had your benefits reduced.

Don't get me wrong....I was extremely grateful for Tricare. 2 pregnancies and deliveries, all the prenatal care, shoulder surgery on both shoulders and zero dollars in bills from it. But I think Tricare is a system in need of some serious re-working on some things. What are they going to cut?

This. We cover our employees 100% They have no idea how much it actually costs. Next to payroll that is the company's biggest cost

My DHs work covered the raise last year so ours didn't go up....not sure about this year though. It is a pretty small company but they are doing pretty well right now so maybe we will get lucky again.

our coverage went back up, they had cut our vision allotment from our health plan. now that it is back, I can drop my vision insurance and save money.

Ours have gone up the past 2 years. We still dont pay as much out of our pockets as most b/c my DH works for a great company that foots most of the bill. For 2013 it will be about $290 a month for a family of 4. Health, dental, vision, life, disability and all included in that. So even though I hate that its going up again, i'd say we are still pretty lucky.
