My job is seriously going to be the death of me!
19 years old, working 6days/48 hours a week, no weekends off in 6 months. Its HORRIBLE! I work with people who have mental retardations and i know its not an easy job, but this is out of control. I come to work every day to get yelled at, punched, and be littled. Not to mention of the people i take care of will look me in the eye and bold face tell me she will make up whatever she has to to get me fired.

Are you looking for a new job? I couldn't deal with that smurf, no matter how old I was.

That sounds pretty awful. Can you look for another job?

I think im gonna stick it out until January cause by then ill have my CNA license and can get a job at the hospital making almost double what I do now. Hopefully i can stay sane until then lol.

I loved my job at a place we have here.. I had an easy unit...I did get my hair pulled once, and bit once but it was a pretty good record lol

Lol. I love what I do, as far as the type of people I take care of, but this company is HORRIBLE.

Yeah it doesn't sound like they are too worried about the safety of yall, they did extensive reports on all of our paitents, we knew exactly what to look for when they were about to go off...and it was a state job..great pay and benefits

Yeah it sucks! It would be different if we got paid a descent amount of money for all the stuff we get put through but we dont. We get paid the same from the time we start to the time we quit, no raises. SUCKS!

My mom worked her way up to being a RN..
now she's going to school for her masters in nursing..

She told me shes's been beaten with a cane by THREE residents at the same time.
Punched, kicked, bite, spit on.
PURPOSELY peed on, etc..

One time, she even had a little old lady shove her fingers down her throat just so that she could throw up on my mother. ^_^ Hahaha.

Evil little old people.
