That is terrible advice. Adding cereal to a bottle is only recommended by doctor's order for acid reflux. Otherwise it's nothing more than a choking hazard.

I know a baby who was born addicted to drugs. She's "fine" too.. :/

I am not comparing the two. But, it's the same logic.

Op, all your baby NEEDS is formula? Cereal or anything other than formula or breastmilk in the bottle is nothing but a choking hazard.

u can introduce cereal to formula fed baby at 4mo old....add water or formula and feed it from a spoon. There are also some baby meats (in a jar) that can be given at 4 & 1/2 mo. But no other baby foods till atleast 6mo & then introduce them 1 food at a time incase of allergies.

ppl! dont believe everything u read.... i put both my kids on solids at 3 months! bare in mind, we were all put on solids at 3 months! rules change constantly... its a load of pish! if u feel she needs a more solid based diet ur probably rite! if ur worried, ad a little baby rice to her milk to bulk it up a little, but ull need to use a bottle with larger hole in the teat, 1 spoon full shud be enuf for now, if by 4 months u still feel it isnt enuf give her small amounts of actual baby rice as a "meal" or a crushed rusk (if u have those in the u.s)
