i was 11 and at my grand parents for spring brake. my grand ma had all ready had her hysterectomy so my grand-pa had to drive me all the way to town to get pads. they live out in the sticks so its 2 hours to town and back, that was the longest drive ever.

Quoting Sarah24Michelle:" Same with me 9 and I was at school the sad thing was they dont have pad or tampon machines in elementary ... [snip!] ... wouldn't know how to do anything cuz I never had that talk lol but I did know what a period was so I just used toilet paper lol"

My mom always had the talk with me, I knew what to do and I wasn't freaked out. My teacher never sent me to the nurse's office for a pad, I had to use toilet paper too.

When I was 11 my periods completely stopped due to PCOS. My mom was TTC around that time and she told "If your period ever stops it means your pregnant." I spent months worried that I was pregnant because my mom told me that. I wasn't sexually active, I didn't even kiss a boy at that point but I thought I got pregnant from a toilet seat or something.

IMO I feel like it robs a child of their childhood they are way to young to have children so there is no need for a period.. but what can you do mother nature is #1 bitch!!   and has anyone else noticed that children now a days are starting earlier and earlier and more developed?

I know what you mean my lil sister turned 9 in July and she is astarting to develop and get pubic hair, my mom asked her ob about it and the doctor said when you notice pubic hair and so forth the rule of thumb is menstruation will begin in approximately a year later not.always but average.. and I'm having a lil girl in January just makes me anxious thinking about it! Poor things!!

Well not always the case he just said when they start getting pubic hair then usually period starts a year later. Kinda wish there was a pill you could take to hold it off till they where atleast 15/16.. poor babies its so cruel for them to have to go through this at such a young age!! I hope my babygirl doesn't get hers untilled she is 12-14. I hate that my lil sis has go through at such a young age!

i was 13 in school
i thought i got a BIG glob of CM come outta me but nope, it was a big glob of disgustingness :L what really pissed me off was the fact that AF went through my nickers through my trousers and on the chair i was sitting on in class... i was well and truely embarrassed, first thing that came outta my mouth in class was "it wasn't me!" :L i didn't even know why i reacted like that, the teacher looked at me like i was silly :L

I was 12. It was literally the last day of school before Christmas vacation in 7th grade. I had a male teacher, and though he was an amazing teacher, he was VERY strict. (It was industrial tech class...which didn't help. lol) and I felt like I had to pee soooo bad. Rule of thumb in that class was "if your eyes aren't turning yellow, you can hold it." ... so I was trying to "hold it" and kept kicking the table I was working at... eventually I caved and asked if I could go to the bathroom... and he laughed and said he'd been waiting for me to ask. Went to the bathroom and flipped out. It was 10 minutes until school was out, so I used toilet paper and then called my mom to pick me up when school was over to go to the store and get pads

My mom started when she was 9 in 4th grade. So I'd been paranoid of starting at school and everything since about 4th grade lol

I was 12. One month before I turned 13. On my moms bday lol. At school in tan shorts. I left school for sure. My mom told my whole family b4 coming to pick me up so when I got home my older brother, sister-in-law and dad were all like yay she's a woman now. Embarrassing!

I am only 24 and my periods are so bad, i dont leave my house, if i could id keep my kids from school, i had to call into work sometimes for it being so bad bleeding wise.
