Ttc. And I just feel stupid. :(

posted 4th Nov
I'm 5 days late today but taking BFN tests.   I usually average overall 24 day cycles and I'm on 30. Lower back pain, sore boobs. I just called my OB and he said to just come in tomorrow for a blood test. Now I feel like I'm gonna wake up covered in blood and be disappointed since I made the appointment. Stupid. I've spent all evening playing different scenarios over in my head. How stupid I'll look when I start bleeding and it was just a longer than normal cycle. And how if it happens again Ill reference this and remind myself not to freak out. Or maybe it'll come back positive and ill feel stupid for thinking there was a possibility I wasn't pregnant! Either way.... I feel like I'm going to feel like an idiot.

Nothing you can do but go take the test. I personally would have waited at least another week just in case and so you'd be more confident that there's something off/not right. I do wish you luck. I hope you get positive results and a beautiful baby!

Usually you'd take a home pregnancy test before you wasted a doctors time. For me I can usually read positive 4 days before my missed periods.

Agreed. The doctors dont even take you in where I've been unless your 2 weeks after a missed period plus you have taken a home test.

The blood test will come back positive if I am pregnant, considering I'd have concieved on either October 14th or 19th. So there's no way it's going to be a false negative. That's why I'm just going to go get it done. Thank you!

TTC is hard. You shouldn't get down on yourself regardless of the outcome. If you end up getting your period then you may be able to better plan for next month knowing you may have to allow for extra or later ovulation days. If you are pregnant then at least you took the ques your body was giving you and knew to go get a blood test.

Don't feel stupid. You sound like you definately could be. I noticed my boobs were sore before I ever suspected I was pregnant. Just relax there's nothing you can do tonight and you will have a ll the answers you need tomorrow. Even if your not you won't be the first woman to think she's pregnant and be wrong. I think we've all had those moments. I was convinced there was no way I was pregnant. 37 weeks later here I am big as a house!!

Uh thanks? My doctors pretty awesome and asked me to come in. He doesn't see it as "wasting" his time. And that's cool you can test before your missed period. With both of my girls, I test 9 days after expected period. I know, I should just wait.
I don't even know why I'm getting so upset and worked up. If I'm pregnant, Im pregnant. I'm just really wishy washy.

That's how I see it. I need to know as early as possible, him an I agree on that. I'm epileptic, and on medication for PTSD & sleep. Soooo.... I need to know early in order to tend to that.

doctors make appointments for this sort of thing, and its the lab that does the "work" anyway. how is that wasting anyone's time? and unless i read the OP wrong, she has taken a home test....

Don't call it wishy washy. You're just anxious. And it's never a waste of a doctor's time... it's their job and they get paid to do it. But I was thinking maybe you should just call your doctor back and reschedule??? Just push it back another week or week and a half. Because waiting on blood results are so aggravating. If you wait you can probably take a urine test and find out right then and there.

I'm gonna just take it tomorrow and see what it says. He sends them in STAT anyways   And if I'm not, I'll start my period.

No, that's what I'm saying (refer to OP). All negative but still a late period when I'm always on time. :/
