No, I wouldn't. But on long trips if I'm not driving, I chill out in the back without my seat belt.

It's against the law...

Never. My Mom was literally 200 yards from home, was in an accident and nearly died. She's now paralyzed from the neck down and totally different than before all because she didn't wear a seat belt.

Never. Not only is it against the law, but anything can happen. My aunt never buckles her kids in their carseats. The climb all around her car & it pisses me off. She drives way too fast & she is always distracted by something...whether it is her cell phone, the radio, getting onto the kids or talking to someone in the passanger seat. Idk how she hasn't gotten pulled over or wrecked yet. I pray to God she doesn't. She is a great mom otherwise, but it's like when she is in the car she doesn't care. I will never let my child be unbuckled. It scares me to death.

Damn...my Mom is the same way but at least she made sure we were buckled. I really hope no one hits her either

She wasn't even 35 yet. Now she can do nothing for herself. So yeah... there's no excuse good enough not to put a seat belt on.. even across a parking lot.

NEVER EVER!!!!

No. It's easy enough and good for everyone to pull over every hour or two and stretch, shake out, change clothes if needed, burn off some energy. Especially for the driver to de-stress and wake up!
We factor that into road trips, it's just a given, and even with 5 kids it generally goes very smoothly and happily because we make sure to do that. If they're uncomfortable, they know the next break is never too far off. And if it's really bad, that we'll stop before that and get them to where they can go a while longer.

Not on a main road or the freeway, no.

No no no no no! Not ever, no way, no how....
My kids are strapped in to their specific seats, every single time, even if we are just going a minute up the road.
By the time they are old enough to go on car rides with someone else, it's going to be so far imprinted into their brains that they will never ever consider NOT wearing a seat belt!

This!
Your man is losing it for suggesting to let that little boy walk around a moving vehicle! Lol
How's the new car seat working out?
