34w3d- water broke, now stalled labor

So, yesterday at 34w3d my water broke.

I got to 3.5cm and barely felt it, then got to 4.5cm with a ton of pain, got some Nubaine, then my labor stalled. I've had contractions here and there but nothing really painful.

They moved me from the high risk section to the bed rest section early this morning since nothing is really happening.

It feels so weird sitting here and not progressing anymore when I'm pretty much halfway there.

On Wednesday they said they'd give me pitocin if labor hasn't moved along because they don't want to risk infection (ill be 35w).

Tomorrow they're doing an ultrasound to see about how big she is.

I can't wait for Natalie to get here, I'm so anxious but I know it's good she's hanging in there a little longer.

And can I just say how boring it is sitting in a hospital bed all day?!

It is very boring I was in the hospital for weeks awaiting delivery.

Are they giving you antibiotics?

This sounds like exactly what happened with my first daughter. Except I went into labor at 30 weeks, sat in the hospital for 2 weeks and then my water broke. So, I can relate on the bored in a hospital room feeling, lol. At least it's not weeks!

I know, I feel bad complaining about a day, I can't imagine weeks. They gave me a few IV pouches of penicillin and another one (some pill I can't remember the name of).

No signs of infection here. They're gonna induce Wednesday if nothing's changed.

Oh, no it's ok! I know it could always be worse! Either way it sucks though. I'm just kinda bumming right now cause my other daughter has a bad cold right now and I can't be home for her and my husband has to catch up on schoolwork before she comes so I've been here alone for the majority of the time.

Uhhhhh I really hope that doesn't happen to me.

I'm sorry I was in the hospital several hours away from family so I know how it goes

Sucks they have been checking your cervix. It increases the chance of infection. Other wise I would have told to to go home and wait it out.
