Need some positive stories please

*Sorry for being a post whore tonight. I'm just super bored*

Ok, So I have literally terrified of labor and birth. Like, everything about it. I had sex today and it scared me even more because it hurt so bad. It was not how deep he went but the width that hurt... That got me to thinking that if I can't even handle a dang penis, how am I going to push a baby out of there???

Honesty pushing her out was the least painful part of labor. The contractions are what sucked. But pushing her out was super easy for me.

This made me literally LOL! I know you didn't mean for it to be funny, but I couldn't help myself!

Your vagina stretches A LOT.

Sex is super uncomfy @ the end of my pregnancies. I've popped 2 kiddos outta there lol.. you will be able to do it mama..

Hey I know how you feel. I always watched a baby story and stuff. My whole life I been terrified to give birth and push a baby out. Now I have to in 9 days and I am sort of just excepting it.

Oh good lord I know how you feel, I'm so terrified. I keep asking my SO stupid questions, like what if I die, what if I hemorrhage, what if the baby dies.. All kinds of crazy smurf goes through my head, and I feel like an awful person for asking those types of questions to my SO because now he's worrying as well and I shouldn't even be thinking like that.. I should be thinking positively   but I can't help it.

This made me giggle for some reason. lol

Do you plan to get an epi??

I got an epi 2 out of 3 times. I didn't feel anything but pressure which wasn't bad. After that I was a little sore...but nothing too bad at all.

My one time I did it without an epi it hurt but I hardly remember it. I also had an episiotomy...so post partum kinda sucked.

There's a lot more umm how do I say it, lubrication, typically when the baby is coming out haha. All kinds of fun juices everywhere. Don't worry, sex is nothing like delivery. When you are having contractions and everything else going on it's a relief to get the baby out, whereas with sex there's nothing else to distract you from the sensitivity.

Sex hurts for me, everyyyyy time, I had the same fear.
And pushing her out was the absolute worst part for me, fck contractions, they were NOTHING compared to her crowning.
I blacked out and then just got a huge fight or flight instinct and just pushed as hard as I possibly could and out she came. As soon as she came out I was back to myself again.
For me, this kind of pain is different. You get something out of it. Unlike smashing your hand with a hammer, there is no benefit to doing that   Once the pain is gone, it's gone, and then you get your baby.

Lol it is kinda funny. I even asked my fiance mid sex the same question... He lol'ed as well. I do plan on getting the epidural but I'm still scared. What if it wears off? And those other questions I have as well. I have had low iron my entire pregnancy and I take 2 iron pills a day and it just keeps dropping. The last OB appt I had she said, " If your iron is low during delivery, you have a greater risk of bleeding out"  . I am trying to get it back up but it just has gotten lower and lower ... I will have my fiance, mom and sister in there with me so I will have a great support system... I watched my sis have both her kids when I was 13 and 16 and it didn't seem too bad for her. Gah, I'm a big baby! lol

It lasts a pretty good amount of time and they can usually give you more if it does. lol

Ah what I didn't know you can bleed out from low iron? I have low iron I am slightly anemic I was told a month ago, they made me take slow fe iron pills. But they haven't said anything about it since so I guess I am okay.

I feel the same way. Im not really scared of pain because I am too focused on what if something goes wrong and me or baby die. I am terrified. Or what if I have to have a c section . I hate being out of control. I am due thursday, see md tomorrow. Everyone says I would be so miserable by now I wouldnt have time to be scared....but I feel wonderful! I wish I could be excited that im going to see my baby soon but instead I am terrified.
