Hospital Gown

posted 4th Nov
Has anyone bought their own and took it to the hospital? Did they let you use it while you labored? I ordered one and it it just like a real one with pretty colors and buttons down the back so that I can walk around without having to either wear to gowns, a robe or my butt show lol. Just curious to see if anyone else brought their own??

No, I had to change gowns pretty often due to heavy bleeding anyway.

Well, I didn't think about that... Maybe, I will just use theirs until I have her then switch to my own...

You can wear what you want. But I don't suggest wearing your own. You're more than likely going to ruin it. After delivery is better, but during labor things can get super messy.

I honestly wouldn't want to waste my money on something that could very well be ruined after the first time wearing it. The hospital gowns suck, granted, but I'd rather wear them and get changed into comfy jammies after everythings been cleaned up.

It was not expensive at all and it is a dark brown in color so I don't think it will stain. I already ordered it or i probably wouldn't after asking yall lol.

I wore my own gowns at the hospital, they never got ruined at all, even the one I wore for my homebirth, never got anything on it at all.

Personally I stuck with the hospital gowns even though I had to wear 2 to walk around. I didnt want to fuss with cleaning my own things as in sending them home day after day to have them washed. Hospital stuff obvisouly gets washed by the hospital and even after delivery you can bleed pretty heavy so you may end up changing gowns several times in a day. So I said to heck with it and didnt even bring jammies cause I didnt want ot worry about the heavy bleeding and all that and if it did happen well then it wasnt my responsibility to wash what got soiled. It gave me peace of mind.

I didn't wear any type of gown during delivery. I wore a tank top and no bottoms.

Never said you were crazy for wanting your own. Everyone wants something of their own during the L&D and PP time so no not crazy. I was just saying about things that CAN happen and not always do those things happen. I wish you the best of luck and that you wont get anything on your gown.
