BAD MOMMYS

What do you think makes a mother a "bad" parent? Besides the obvious, like drugs, abuse, and neglect.

I think:
Smoking during pregnancy and around the kids
Not waking up with baby in the morning
Hitting before child can understand (Not abuse, like smacking and saying no)
Having sex around baby

I can't think of anymore. Just wanna hear opinions.

Most of the reasons you listed are just stupid.

My parents getup with my son on the weekends cause I work late nights.

So if I had sex with my newborn baby in the bassinet in the aame room that makes me a bad mom?

You sound very judgmental. I'm wondering why. A holier than thou attitude will only get you so far.

It's better to stop smoking, but many mom's can't, or are led to believe it can cause miscarriage. Yes, I do think smoking around your kids is bad, maybe even borderline neglectful due to health issues, but I wouldn't say it makes you a bad mom.

Having sex around a baby? I don't get that... I mean, if it's asleep, whatever lol.

I think there all sorts of different ways to mother, and it's hard to be "perfect"....

Those things that you listed aren't things I necessarily agree with but I don't think they make someone a bad parent.

Yeah, I used to work until two or 3, not get to bed until 4ish, and HELL YES was I sleeping in past LO if her dad or my parents would get up with her.

I'm a bad mom dd is 7 months and we do it with her in the room... only if she's asleep though I feel weird is she's awake though lol her crib is in our room.

My BD usually wakes up with my daughter he likes to wake up early me not soooo much.
Also we all shared a room until very recently..
So Im guilty of the sex while the kid is in the same room...

For me if constantly yelling and not validating your childs feelings.

those reasons are really dumb!
Did you know that if you are smoking before you find out you are pregnant drs will tell you not to quit cold turkey?!
Also had sex with my DD in the room as we lived with my mother and DD was in our room with us...
When DD was born, My DH got up with her in the mornings...
